Besides doing all the line art, this is Amee's first go at assembling, bubbling, and lettering the strip. More to come. She already has a couple more scripts, and I'm working on more for her.
Incidentally, we're playing fast and loose with history here; I know that all the historical figures we'll have in various time periods throughout this storyline were not contemporaries.
As an aside for those who weren't aware, the Ancient Greek philosopher Socrates was famous for teaching by asking questions. He was eventually executed by being forced to drink hemlock. This led to a quotation immortalized in the movie Real Genius: "I was pondering the immortal words of Socrates, who said, 'I drank what?'"

Hey, believe me--I'm not cheered much by it either. Amee is a bit busy these days, though, so I've got someone working on things here. We should be back to regular updates by the end of the week.
In addition, Shan and I are putting together a bunch of merchandise just in time for the holidays. I'll post a link and an announcement later today.

I can because I have seen strips disappear without a word. and others like BCK they return after a long delay better than ever. I have faith and more important they have a good reason for the delay on matters that is non of our business yet the chose to share because they care about us understanding what is going on. If they choose to shut it down I would be sad but I wouldnt needle them. Look you have the right to send your post like you did I dont ever dispute that. However I dont have to like what you said when you consider the reasons for the delay and thats my right.

All right... First of all,
All right... First of all, I´d like to apologize for my English, which still isn´t on the level requested on discussions about strips done by Americans:), because I´d like to kinda explain my stupid attitude to your delay (which I really thought I´ve made clear and offensive in no way in my last post). Secondly - I´m not really keen on the other strips on the net (apart from Opice a Zajíc, which you won´t know:) so I don´t know what the delay situations at the other strips look like, but I have no reason why shouldn´t I believe you - I was really warmly surprised when I found out that you answered me, and after a little research of the older posts I must admit - BCK guys CARE about their readers, which is cool and hardly seen these days. And thirdly - all I wanted to say with my last post was, that I really check this site out almost every day and I´m looking forward BAD to every new strip. It´s not like I don´t respect the makers of the strip, and I´m aware of their daily duties apart from making BCK, all this makes me appreciate what they do to entertain us.
And another thing - if anybody gets offended by what I´ve written, I apologize. Deeply.
