A group of Drupal developers are working on a way to automate at least some of the tasks here, and I've had an epiphany that may, within the next week or so, at least make the process less tedious. I still recommend going through this tutorial, though, to understand the nuts and bolts of what goes on behind the scenes, as a learning exercise on working with these modules, and because hey--Why wait a week or two when you can get things going now, eh?
This shouldn't take you more than a minute or two.
Go to admin >> content management >> taxonomy >> Add vocabulary and create a vocabulary called Comics. Assign it to the content type you just created (Comic page). Make it required. Hit save.
After you save, you'll be sent back to a page where you'll see your vocabulary listed. Click "add term" to the right of your new vocabulary, and add your comic name. If you plan to run more than one comic from your site, create terms for those, too. Save, and you're done with this step.
(No illustration for setting up your taxonomy because if you've been following instructions you already know how to do this.)
Next, we're going to upload some comics.
Sorry--I haven't gotten the images moved over yet because I'm a dork. Should have that later today, though.
Also, thanks for the input. I threw this together in a hurry. I kept intending to go back and make the written instructions more detailed so that it works even without the images, but I obviously didn't. I am doing so now, while at the same time creating new screen shots to make sure I don't leave out anything.

There's something wrong with your image assist module because the images don't show up. I can't follow this tutorial without the images. Can you please add in the details that the images would show?
SEO Tip: While iamges add to your content make sure they aren't your content.
