Far Right denounces Reagan policies and stands against middle class tax cuts

Rob's picture

You read that right. Now, I didn't say that they denounce Ronald Reagan himself, but they are coming out in opposition to his policies on both taxes and foreign relations. read more »

Amnesty for illegal aliens?

Rob's picture

I won't pretend that I have the answer to the illegal immigration problem, nor do I deny that a problem exists, but those who claim that the proposed illegal immigration bill offers amnesty for illegal aliens or \"threatens our sovereignty,\" are way off base... read more »

Teabaggers protest things that do not exist

Rob's picture

Note: Although I do post objective essays, this is not one of them. This is a rant. This is me blowing off steam, and maybe I went over the top with it by lumping everyone in with the Far Right. According to a primary source, there were just as many protesting the Republicans at at least one gathering as there were protesting the current administration.

I stand by my words as far as the issues I cite below (and when I mention taxes, I am referring to the federal income tax), and stand by my comparison of the Far Right's tactics and rhetoric to those of Hitler's Nazi party.

I also wish to add that I have been informed by that same primary source that at that same rally I mention above, while many issues being protested were indeed fabricated out of thin air by the Far Right (So, the state of Hawaii, the government of Kenya, and the US Department of Immigration and Naturalization conspired over four decades ago to hide Barack Obama's birthplace, were so good at it that the then-Republican administration couldn't get to the bottom of it, forged all the documents so well that they were able to fool forensic experts, and covered their tracks so well that no one has been able to find so much as a hint of evidence? Hell, just because there's no evidence for any of that doesn't mean it shouldn't be protested, right?), there were also people protesting real-life policy, and I can dig that even if I disagree with them. read more »

McCain--the economy and dirty politics

Rob's picture

Karl Rove says McCain is lying, and McCain on the economy? Well... read for yourself. Stranger than anything I could come up with.

Karl Rove criticizes McCain ads

When Karl Rove admits that a member of his own party--especially one running for president--isn't telling the truth, one should stand up and take notice. Especially when even FOX, long known for its lack of journalistic standards and for kowtowing to the far right, and for whom Rove currently works--airs it! read more »

Obama and McCain -- Truth and distortion

(I'm quite tired right now, so please feel free to point out any errors I may have made in grammar or in fact. Make sure you check your facts before you try to correct mine, though.)

This is not merely an opinion editorial. Everything here is based on verifiable facts that you can check for yourself. read more »
